Sticky Honey & Soy Salmon

Perfect for a family meal over a bank holiday weekend! Salmon is a great way to get some healthy fats into your diets. Many children seem to like this recipe too, as the sticky honey gives it an entirely different taste! Serve with new potatoes and plenty of veggies, or some noodles.

Serves 2.

  • 2 skinless salmon fillets

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

  • 2 cloves minced garlic

  • 2 teaspoons minced ginger

  • ½ teaspoon chilli flakes

  • 1/2 teaspoon Chinese 5 spice

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 80 ml soy sauce

  • Handful of coriander (garnish)

  • 115g Wesley Cottage Bees honey

Heat the oven to 180C/160C fan/gas 4. Put the salmon fillets in a oven proof dish. Mix the marinade ingredients.Pour half of the marinade on the salmon and save the other half for later. Marinate the salmon in the refrigerator for 1 hour.

Put the salmon in the pre heated oven. Cook salmon for approximately 12-15 minutes.

Serve the salmon with the remainder of the marinade as a sauce and a side of green vegetables with new potatoes or rice noodles.
